6 February – The TOChina office begins accepting applications for the 2012 edition of the TOChina Summer School.

13 April – First round of selections begins: all complete applications reaching the TOChina office by this date (5 pm Rome time) are examined by two senior scholars affiliated to the School.

23 April – The TOChina office communicates the results of the first round of selections individually to all applicants by this date, and offers a place to those of them who have been successful.

2 May – By this date successful applicants receiving an offer in the first round of selections must formally accept it and send proof of fees payment (direct bank transfer, all banking expenses payable by candidate) via email. Upon receiving these, the TOChina office will confirm the allocation of the place. Applicants who should fail to meet this deadline will have their offer withdrawn.

21 May – Applications are accepted until 5 pm (Rome time). No late application will be considered. The second round of selections begins.

28 May – The TOChina office communicates the results of the second round of selections individually to all applicants, and offers a place to those of them who have been successful.

6 June – By this date successful applicants (second round of selections) receiving an offer must formally accept it and send proof of fees payment (direct bank transfer, all banking expenses payable by candidate) via email. Upon receiving these, the TOChina office will confirm the allocation of the place. Applicants who should fail to meet this deadline will have their offer withdrawn.

24 June – Participants gather in Torino and holders of the Freetorino scholarship are introduced to their accommodation.
