Degree in Global Studies

The Global Studies curriculum is part of the Laurea Magistrale in Scienze Internazionali, one of the most innovative post-graduate degree programmes offered at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Torino.

In recent years the Faculty has developed a strategic posture that places great emphasis on the study of emerging global actors such as China and India.

The Faculty’s objective is to approach China and, increasingly, India and the Middle East from the perspective of their domestic politics, foreign policy and political economy. The aim is to further complement the advanced training in the social sciences currently being offered with a portfolio of practical competences regarding the international projection of companies towards the Middle and Far East.

Students attending the Global Studies degree programme are trained to develop into professionals capable of blending cultural sensitivity with an understanding of the political and economic theoretical categories needed to unpack the complexity of China, India and the Middle East.
